It was then that Steve felt the experience of cooking steak on a stone was so unique and inspiring that he left Africa determined to bring this concept to America. Two years later, Steve began selling rock cooking systems to restaurants all over the world. In 2008, he convinced long-time friend Doug Quist to join him in opening Rok Bistro Stone-Age Fondue and the Rok Steakhouse in downtown Sunnyvale, CA.
